Study Confirms Breast Cancer Incidence Related to Hormone Replacement Therapy

Business Club, September 25. A recent study in Canada confirmed that the decline in the incidence of breast cancer in menopausal women is associated with a significant reduction in the use of hormone replacement therapy.

Hormone replacement therapy is a type of therapy that slows aging by supplementing estrogen and progesterone to relieve menopausal symptoms in women. In 2002, a large clinical trial in the United States showed that hormone replacement therapy can increase the risk of breast cancer, heart disease and stroke, which is more harmful than profits. Afterwards, many Canadian women stopped using hormone replacement therapy.

Researchers from the Canadian Cancer Society published a research report on the 23rd issue of the US National Cancer Institute magazine that they surveyed 1200 Canadian women between the ages of 50 and 69 and found that it was 2002. By 2004, the number of cases of breast cancer among these women had dropped by about 10%.

The study authors believe that there is a link between the reduction in the use of hormone replacement therapy and the decline in the incidence of breast cancer in Canadian women aged 50 to 69 years. This finding also confirmed the related research in other countries such as the United States, that the incidence of breast cancer decreased as women stopped using hormone replacement therapy. However, researchers have not fully determined how hormone replacement therapy affects the incidence of breast cancer.
