4. Ventilation: Experimental animals are generally very sensitive to odors, so there should be an independent ventilation system in the laboratory and animal room. The number of air changes is 8-10 times/h, and the airflow speed is 0.1-0.2 m/s (preferably from the cage). Discharge outside, not to indoors).
5. Sound insulation: In the initial stage of the laboratory construction, a sound insulation layer can be added to the surrounding walls or a wave sponge can be installed in the later stage. The indoor noise is less than 60 dB (optional purchase of a special soundproof box).
6. Temperature: The indoor temperature is constant at 19~26°C (the daily temperature difference is less than 4°C). It is recommended to be 20~25°C (the daily temperature difference is less than 3°C). The hot and cold dual air conditioning system is required.
7. The relative humidity is preferably controlled at 40% to 70%.
8. The distance between the animal room and the laboratory is in the same isolation area. The breeding, production and experimental facilities of the experimental animals should be kept at a distance of more than 50m from the living area, and the handling process of the experimental animals should be avoided to contact the outside world.
9. During the experiment, the experimenter or other personnel are prohibited from entering and leaving the laboratory frequently or outside the laboratory, avoiding two or more experiments in the same laboratory at the same time, and removing the influence of the experimenter on the experimental animals.
10. Animal behavioral experimental equipment is generally large in volume and large in quantity, and the laboratory space is customized and designed according to the requirements of experimental equipment.
11. It is best to keep the computer room of the laboratory in a separate room to avoid affecting the experiment.
12. It is advisable to control each set of equipment individually.
13. It is best to have a constant white noise generator in the laboratory (to avoid sound interference between the outside world and the animal)
14. The electrical specifications of the laboratory require a sedan, which can be matched with 20A current. The laboratory is equipped with UPS equipment to ensure the stability of the laboratory power supply to ensure the experiment is carried out normally.
15. The width of the corridor should not be less than 1.5m, the width of the door should be no less than 1.0m, and the height of the room should not be less than 2.8m.
16. As long as the power line and video signal line of the behavioral laboratory transmission line are inconvenient to arrange in the early stage of the laboratory planning process, our staff will distribute and conceal the transmission line during the installation process, without affecting the cleanliness and beauty of the laboratory. ;
17. The lighting of the behavioral laboratory needs to have certain control. The overall requirement is that the lighting in each room should be soft and even. Therefore, in the process of planning the laboratory in the early stage, the light source should be distributed on the top of the opposite wall on both sides to avoid the distribution in the experiment. In the center of the room, and these light source switches need to be individually controllable (because some experiments may require a dim environment), the light source can be used with a common energy-saving fluorescent lamp between 15W and -40W;
18. Some experiments, such as the morris water maze, require the use of water, so in the early planning of the laboratory process need to reserve the water interface and drainage floor drain, note: the floor drain can be directly on the laboratory floor;
19. Considering that there are more power supplies for large-scale behavioral laboratory cameras, more power sockets should be reserved on the walls.
