The cleaning and decontamination process consists of six steps: sorting, soaking, washing, rinsing, disinfection and drying after instrument cleaning.
(1) Classification: It is best to classify the equipment immediately after use. Try not to classify it directly by hand; sharp items must be placed in the stab-resistant container for transportation; the dirt should be kept moist to prevent drying, if it is not within 1~2h Wash in time, immerse the item in cold water or enzyme-containing liquid.

(2) Soaking: Soaking can prevent the dirt from drying out and soften or remove the dirt; for a large amount of organic pollution or the pollutants have been dried, it should be soaked with enzyme cleaning agent for >2min.

(3) Cleaning: manual cleaning and mechanical cleaning. See the cleaning and decontamination methods for specific cleaning methods. The initial processing steps for instruments that are heavily contaminated with organic matter include soaking, rinsing (brushing) the detergent, and then cleaning it with a mechanical cleaning method. Cleaning methods for precision and complex instruments include rinsing, detergent immersion, rinsing (brushing), and mechanical cleaning.

(4) Rinsing: After manual washing, it can be rinsed with tap water, followed by rinsing with deionized water. Mechanical cleaning is rinsed with deionized water.

(5) Disinfection after cleaning the instrument: use the thermal cleaning and disinfecting machine for cleaning and disinfection. The temperature of the disinfection: medium and low risk items and instruments are >90 °C1min or A0>600; high-risk items and instruments The temperature is >90 ° C for 5 min or A0 > 3000. Instruments and articles that do not use thermal cleaning and disinfection machines are disinfected by physical (wet heat) disinfection after cleaning. Instruments that are not suitable for thermal disinfection and mechanical cleaning and disinfection methods should be cleaned and wiped with deionized water or distilled water to improve cleanliness. The device can also be wiped with 80% to 95% ethanol to achieve disinfection standards. Special water-soluble instrument lubricants can be added to deionized water and distilled water during the disinfection process. Equipment maintenance and lubrication should not be carried out with water-insoluble oil solvents such as paraffin oil.

(6) Drying: After rinsing, the wet items should be dried or dried as soon as possible. Drying can be done using a drying oven. The drying temperature is 70 to 90 °C. Generally, the drying time of metal instruments is 15 to 20 minutes, and the drying time of plastic instruments is long, such as ventilator pipelines, 30 to 40 minutes. Not suitable for high-temperature drying equipment such as endoscopes, can be wiped dry with a clean gauze or wiped dry with 75% ethanol. Tube-type instruments should be dried with a pneumatic gun. All kinds of instruments are prohibited from being naturally dried in the air. method.
