KFC's relationship with Qing Jian and "quick chicken"

According to reports, KFC and McDonald's have been involved in the “rapid chicken” turmoil. Recently, the two oceanic fast food giants responded.

KFC China issued a message on its official microblog that "Shanhai Shaihai Group is a relatively small regional supplier of KFC chicken raw material supply system, accounting for only about 1% of the chicken meat purchase. Past food safety records are normal." KFC also said that according to media reports, KFC will conduct investigations, strengthen inspections, and deal with the situation according to the investigation. McDonald's (China) Co., Ltd. responded to this question that Shanxi Shaihai Group is not their existing chicken supplier.

Shanxi Muhai Group also made a public statement on this matter on its official website that it uses white chickens that are commonly used in China's broiler industry and that it is normal for 45 days. The company emphasizes that its broiler chicken breeding process complies with national regulations, broiler feed safety, nutrient feed additives and veterinary medicines used are in line with national regulations, and this year's government sampling results are all qualified.
