[Analysis] Why does medical care have to be "Internet +"?

The "Internet +" wave swept across the motherland and brought varying degrees of influence to all walks of life. The medical industry that took the lead in receiving the "Internet +" olive branch is inevitably pressured. Because for the traditional medical industry, the "Internet +" road is already imperative. In the Internet and mobile Internet today, medical care exists as a special industry. Due to the uniqueness and closure of its own system, there will inevitably be problems of one kind or another. From today's point of view, the drawbacks of traditional medical treatment have become more prominent, mainly in the following ten aspects:

Traditional medical malpractices are increasingly prominent

1. Concentrated medical resources, small illnesses also go to large hospitals

Along with the development of the national economy, the people's living standards have been gradually improved, and the demand for medical resources has also increased. As a result, the contradiction between health service demand and medical and health resources has become increasingly prominent.

According to data released by the National Health Department, 80% of China's medical resources are concentrated in large cities, and 30% of them are distributed in large hospitals. It can be seen that the distribution of health and medical resources between regions is severely uneven. There are also large differences in the distribution of hospital health resources at different levels. Moreover, rural and urban communities lack qualified health professionals and general practitioners, even though some small and medium-sized hospitals in the city lack high-level doctors. This has made the people form a concept of seeing a doctor, whether it is a disease or not, and it is necessary to go to a big city or a large hospital for medical treatment. The function of a large hospital should be to treat critically ill patients and difficult patients, but it will treat a large number of patients with common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases, not only causing medical treatment. Difficult, expensive, and a lot of valuable resources were wasted.

Take Beijing as a "national medical center." A large number of foreign populations went to Beijing to see a doctor for medical treatment, which made Beijing's tertiary hospitals overwhelmed. According to statistics, 700,000 foreigners go to Beijing for medical treatment every day. The neighboring Hebei Province has 7 million person-times a year. Even if they have a fever, they have to go to Beijing to seek medical advice.

Through the phenomenon of “National Hospitalization Center” in Beijing, we not only see Beijing gathering high-quality medical resources, but also seeing the uneven distribution of medical resources in China. The resources are not evenly distributed, and the most injured people are ordinary people. According to reports, outside the outpatient building of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, every noon, renting a lounge chair began to line up a long line, each rent is 10 yuan, the deposit is 200 yuan; at dinner time, there will be two or three "two traffickers", originally as long as 14 Yuan’s expert number, in their hands, costs 300 to 500 yuan to “combat”. Similarly, the ophthalmology department of Beijing Tongren Hospital is also registered as “difficult to go to the sky”. Every day from around 2 am, the traffickers are active. An expert number is three or four hundred yuan. Foreigners account for the majority of the "night watchmen", especially those who have just arrived in Beijing for medical treatment. It will take a few days to learn to queue up to catch up with the "hard truth".

In the face of such a situation, Premier Li’s “Internet Plus” has brought new hope to medical care. First, the offline medical treatment will be transferred to the network to alleviate the big problem of lack of resources; and under the great attention of the state, the redistribution of medical resources will be promoted. Because if you can't improve the resource allocation situation, over time, the problems of "one is hard to find", "patients and patients are nervous", "expensive medical treatment", "equipment is not good" will continue to spread to the Internet. It will even breed new problems. For example, people who are illiterate and do not understand computers will find it difficult to enjoy the fruits of the Internet age.

2, seeing a doctor is more expensive

In November 2014, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences released the "Blue Book of Medical Reform" statistics. The proportion of China's personal health expenditure to total health expenditure decreased from 40.4% in 2008 to 34.4% at the end of 2012, but personal expenses rose by 64.31%. From the most intuitive of this group of data, we can see that the previous medical reform brought about the problem that the increase in medical expenses did not rise, but the proportion of medical expenses paid by ordinary people rose directly, and the people were more expensive to see a doctor.

3, the development of malformation with medicine

In the past six years since the medical reform, the price of medicines in public hospitals has been ten times as high, dozens of times, and even dozens of times. It is almost unspoken rules for doctors to take drug rebates. Especially for some patients with late cancer, due to the eagerness of their loved ones, some medical staff also seized this feature to give some irrational drugs, the price can be described as "high price." Although CCTV has also reported on this issue, such as the high drug prices, doctors take drug rebates, etc., but the role can be minimal. When public hospitals move toward this open unspoken rule, they will inevitably lead to abnormal development.

4, the rebate stimulates the doctor's medical ethics decline

Looking back on the medical reforms in recent years, the unspoken rules of kickbacks have led some doctors not to consider the optimal treatment plan for patients, but the most expensive one.

For example, the common sense that doctors generally know is the use of antibiotics. Although effective, the negative effects on the human immune system are obvious. And what about the reality? China is not only a large country with a large population, but also a large infusion country. According to some survey data, China's per capita infusion of 8 bottles per year is three times that of the world. The per capita annual consumption of antibiotics in China is about 138 grams, which is 10 times that of European and American countries. According to the statistics of the abnormal deaths of the Chinese Red Cross, the annual medical damage incident in China (a large part of which is unsafe medication) caused about 400,000 people to die abnormally, four times as many as the number of deaths caused by traffic accidents. About 200,000 people die each year from antibiotic abuse. These circumstances have to admit that there is a certain relationship with the rebate of medicine.

5, doctors and patients conflict escalated

In the past two years, the dispute between doctors and patients has reached an unprecedented situation, and it has also formed a group of professional "medical troubles." Although these factors are multifaceted, they do not rule out the "malicious" behavior of some patients, but a large part of them are caused by medical accidents. Improper medication, treatment, and even some “dereliction of duty” have occurred, such as the scalpel being forgotten in the patient's stomach.
