Technical points:

1. Release time. In the early stage of spawning of the corn borer to the height of the egg, or when the overwintering rate of the adult corn borer is 20%, the first time the insect is released after 10 days. The first generation is about July 10, the 2-3 generation period is around June 20, and the second time is between 5-7 days, with a total of 2-3 times.

2. Release quantity. 15,000 heads per mu, released in 2-3 times. That is, the first 07,000, the second 0.8 million, or the first 0.4 million, the second 0.6 million, the third 0.5 million.

3. Release points. Set 1-3 release points per acre. In other words, 20, 15 and 10 ridges were used as the first laying ridge, and then one ridge was placed at 40, 28, and 20 ridges respectively. Put the bee card in the bee-feeder or inverted paper cup, hang it on a wooden stick or bamboo raft and insert it into the field, or hang it on the top blade of the plant to avoid direct sunlight on the bee card. In the hot season, bees should be placed under the canopy to prolong the life of Trichogramma. The height of the bee card should be at the same level as the top of the plant, or 5-10 cm above the top, and be adjusted as the plant grows.

3. Note. If it is necessary to save the Trichogramma bee card for a short time, the bee card should be stored in a refrigerator at 2°C-4°C, and the bee card should be taken out at room temperature four days before each bee release (depending on temperature). During the period of bee-keeping, pesticides should be avoided to ensure the control of Trichogramma beetle. When the amount of larvae in the field reaches the control index, pesticide application measures can be adopted to control the damage.
